Discover 68 Acres of Natural Space at Lafayette Community Park
March 28, 2016 | sack
Lafayette Community Park contains 68 acres of nature and recreational opportunities, great for group meet-ups or a casual midday getaway. Enjoy a stroll along the walking trail, which runs through the whole park, or get some friends together to play soccer or baseball at one of the sports fields in the southeast corner. You can also play Pétanque, a French game similar to bocce. Some area bocce enthusiasts in town built and now maintain these courts for all residents to enjoy!
At Lafayette Community Park, there are also plenty of other ways to spend your time if you're not in the mood for sports. Sit up against one of the original Walnut trees and read a book, watch the more than twenty types of birds interact with their native habitat, or even take the kids to the playground and relax while they climb.
