The City of Alameda welcomes all adventurous souls to take part in their exciting Seaplane Lagoon Celebration on July 23. At this event, you can paddle a kayak around Seaplane Lagoon, join a walking tour to learn about future development plans, or just take in the beautiful waterfront scenery.

The three kayak tours are available for patrons 18 years of age and older, and they will be led by Joe Stack, owner of Stacked Adventures. The kayak tours are a 1.5 hours long each and begin at 9:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 1:00 p.m. The walking tour begins promptly at 10:00 a.m. and last 2 hours. Guests will stop at three locations to highlight upcoming development areas of interest. There will also be a ceremony around midday, where a light lunch will be provided by Pacific Fine Foods while the short conveyance ceremony takes place.
