You don’t have to go all the way to Texas for some authentic Texas barbeque. Bonehead’s Texas BBQ in Lafayette serves a variety of barbeque dishes that taste just like the ones made in the South.
Inside, the restaurant looks like it’s straight out of a Wild West movie. The décor is modern and hip with bright lighting, industrial looking walls, and wood tables. At Bonehead’s, it takes hours upon hours to prep and smoke meats, and according to Yelpers, the quality is apparent as soon as you take your fist bite. The brisket is smoked for 17 hours, the ribs for 6 hours, and the pulled pork for 12 hours. Menu favorites include the tender brisket, the flavorful ribs, and the smoky turkey. To get the best bang for your buck, order the meat and two sides entrée.
Bonehead’s is open Tuesday to Thursday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
