More than 25 years ago, husband-and-wife team Sally and Otis Marston opened a charming little breakfast and lunch spot in Pasadena. In 2011, they expanded to include a location here in Valencia. Try a plate of sourdough French toast, rolled in cornflake crumbs that cook into a crispy, golden crust and topped with your choice of fresh berries, nuts, and whipped cream. If savory foods are more your speed, you may be interested in the pulled pork Benedict, which combines two poached eggs with barbecued pork and a spicy hollandaise sauce.

This place is popular, so if you've got a large group or are planning on a Sunday brunch, reservations are highly recommended. Finally, don't forget about Marston’s Restaurant after dark. Dinner near one of the outdoor fire pits can make for a relaxing or romantic evening, and the shrimp risotto and beef tenderloin are popular dinner choices among regulars.

What Are Logic Mazes? Find Out Here!

If you love mazes and other types of tricky logic problems, logic mazes will take your hobby to the next level. These advanced mazes, sometimes called "mazes with rules," have special rules that extend far beyond simply navigating around a two-dimensional maze. In a logic maze, the participant must abide by the rules in order to reach the finish line, and they sometimes even include multiple states of the maze or the navigator.

Here are a few of the most common logic mazes.

  1. Area mazes. These are mazes in which the area of tile traveled must alternately increase and decrease with each step.
  2. Rolling dice mazes. A die is rolled with each turn based on a number of different rules.
  3. Number mazes. A grid of numbers is traveled by moving the number of spaces shown in the current square.
  4. Multi-state mazes. The rules in this type of maze change depending on the person's navigation.

Kokolita Cakes offers a unique set of experiences: gourmet cupcakes, traditional empanadas, and a nostalgic 1950s atmosphere. Here, you'll find more than 80 cupcake flavors from which to choose, and many of them are inspired by 1950s Hollywood stars, including an amaretto-infused cupcake in honor of Marlon Brando and high-heel shaped cupcakes inspired by Marilyn Monroe. Feed the whole clan with the family special, which includes pizza, soda, salad and bread. You can order a 13-, 17-, or 20-inch pizza. Customize your toppings, or select the vegetarian, meat lover’s, Vincenzo’s (mushrooms, sausage, onions, green peppers and pepperoni), or esperienza (mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, green peppers, Canadian bacon, olives, extra cheese, sausage and pepperoni). Other menu options include fettuccini alfredo, lasagna and spaghetti.

Customers say the pasta dishes here leave something to be desired, but most people come for the pizza anyway, which they say tastes just as good reheated the next day. Snack on peanuts while you wait for your order. Enjoy live music here on weekend nights. Imponderable of the Day: Why Does Looking at the Sun Make You Sneeze?

It’s a very curious sensation: You’re inside a dark room for a bit too long and when you step back outside into the bright sunlight, you suddenly feel a sneezing fit coming on. What’s the deal?

Staring at the sun makes about 20 to 35 percent of humans sneeze, and although scientists have a general idea of what causes this sensation, it’s still a very confusing conundrum. The phenomenon, which is known as “photic sneeze reflex,” is actually a genetic trait, which is why it only affects a small percentage of people. These people have visual systems that are more sensitive than those of other people, causing them to become agitated by the sunlight and send panicked responses to all of the nerves in the face, including the somatosensory system, which controls sneezing!
