If you’re looking for a place to blow off some steam this weekend, consider a visit to Chesebrough Park. This kid-friendly park in Santa Clarita hosts modern playground equipment for the kids, including bright orange and neon green play structures, jungle gyms, sliding boards, and swing sets. Meanwhile, older visitors can take a stroll or jog along the paved paths that wind their way around the playground and the park's grassy playing fields.

Chesebrough Park also contains a large softball field that is available for public use and for local league practices, as well as covered pavilions, numerous picnic tables, and public restrooms and water fountains that make a day outdoors much more convenient.

For one thing, you don't actually have to be physically caught by someone to get tagged out—they just need to point and shoot a laser at your vest. Hop the Brew Hop Bus for a Craft Beer Tasting Adventure

He captains tasting trips to the area's best breweries, leading day-long (and night-long) adventures all around Valencia, Anaheim, and beyond. Take the standard craft beer-tasting tour if you're just interested in sipping on some stellar local brews, or opt for the Airsoft and Craft Beer Tasting Experience if you have a big group of buddies coming along for the ride. In addition to tastings at three breweries, you also get to play in a 30,000-square-foot airsoft field with your friends. There's also Sunday Funday, which embarks at noon instead of 6 p.m. for a much earlier bedtime.

Its baseball diamond plays host to community games, and when it's not in use, you're welcome to round up some friends and family for a game yourself. Nearby, you'll find picnic tables and barbecue grills where you can refuel with lunch after the game.

If you're bringing the kids along, then check out the playground. It has everything necessary to keep your little ones entertained, including a slide and plenty of structures for climbing in the sunshine. Experience a 5D Rollercoaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain

If you've never heard of a 5D rollercoaster before, then it's time to take a trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain. Its X2 coaster has racked up more than 400 Yelp reviews. That's because in lieu of stationary seats, X2's seats rotate 360 degrees, creating a totally new type of drop: the face-down, head-first plunge. Riders soar 200 feet up into the air while lights, music, and sound effects command every ounce of their attention. Then they race down the track at 76 miles per hour, twisting and flipping as they go.

Rollercoasters like X2 are the most popular rides at Six Flags Magic Mountain (don't miss Tatsu or Goliath, either). But the amusement park has rides to accommodate all ages and preferences. If you have little ones along, you can join them on slower paced family rides or let them conquer a small coaster by themselves. Six Flags' theater troupe also puts on productions starring well-known cartoon faces (think Tweety Bird and Bugs Bunny).
