Undergrounds Coffee House is a neighborhood coffee shop dedicated to building a sense of community, brewing locally roasted, organic coffee, and supporting positive change. In fact, this Valencia coffee house donates 100 percent of its proceeds to local nonprofit organizations, which is one of the main reasons why regular customers say they frequent the place. The coffee might have something to do with it, too!

Order yourself a latte and sink into one of the comfy couches for an afternoon of sipping and reading, or settle yourself with your laptop at one of the tables and spend an hour catching up on some work. Undergrounds also supports local artists and musicians, so you’ll find that it regularly hosts live music performances—generally on Sunday evenings.

Kokolita Cakes offers a unique set of experiences: gourmet cupcakes, traditional empanadas, and a nostalgic 1950s atmosphere. Here, you'll find more than 80 cupcake flavors from which to choose, and many of them are inspired by 1950s Hollywood stars, including an amaretto-infused cupcake in honor of Marlon Brando and high-heel shaped cupcakes inspired by Marilyn Monroe. The shop even pays homage to Desi Arnaz with a dulce de leche-topped cupcake.

The shop's owner also honors her Chilean heritage with a line of empanadas, which are split between sweet and savory fillings. On the sweet side you'll find flavor combinations like Bavarian cream and raspberry or Nutella and banana. If you’re in search of a filling, savory treat, consider digging into a plate of broccoli-, cheddar-, and corn-filled empanadas, or even a barbecue pulled pork empanada. Whatever you choose, know that you can — and regulars say you definitely should! — order by the dozen to feed a group of friends and family.
