Children’s Science Explorium: Science is Fun in Boca Raton

Free admission is just one of the many reasons to visit Children’s Science Explorium. Located in Sugar Sand Park in Boca Raton, the Explorium offers kids of all ages and interests a place to play and learn. Parents will value the educational aspect of the Explorium while kids will love exploring the interactive exhibits. Whether you’re taking a group or just have just one kiddo in tow everyone will love spending time at the Explorium. Some recent and current favorite exhibits include a study of popular toys, as well as a collection of famous robots past and present and a peek into how common household items work. The Explorium even offers programs to foster interest in science among children of all ages. A range of topics are covered as well, including biology, chemistry, earth science and physics. Little scientists in training can a get jump on their peers by learning what makes the earth tick. An afternoon spent at the Children’s Science Explorium might just leave you and your kin impressed by the wonders of science.

The Wakodahatchee Wetlands: Nature Reserve in Delray Beach

The Wakodahatchee Wetlands is a great spot to see wildlife in Delray Beach. The nice park is full of birds and all different kinds of animals. The elevated board walk ways are great for seeing the wetlands or a nice, peaceful stroll. Signs are located around the park making it easy to identify the birds and wildlife. Keep your eye out for turtles, fish, and even alligators. Try to spot all the different birds like herons, egrets, ducks, mallards, and Egyptian geese. Over 140 different species of birds fill the wetlands. Make sure you bring your camera! Open 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. every day. There is no admission charge for The Wakodahatchee Wetlands.
