Sure, it may be that La Porte's Mainly drinks makes visitors think that they serve, well, mainly drinks. But this local restaurant also offers a selection of refined New American cuisine that draws visitors for more than just the drinks.

On the menu, you'll find options like a Gourmet Cheese Plate with crostini, Seafood Stuffed Mushrooms in herb butter, or Smothered Cajun Fries with crawfish, shrimp & lobster. The place also serves dishes like a well-regarded Seafood Gumbo and a Warm Spinach Salad with warm bacon vinaigrette. Burgers, sandwiches, and flatbreads are also on the menu.

Mainly Drinks offers a little something to every diner. While the name implies an emphasis on liquid concoctions, there is also a great selection of food thanks to executive Chef Robert Hicks. Mainly Drinks offers so many great teas and coffees, as well as many fantastic micro brews and boutique wines. Lunch and dinner services abound with so many great selections you may find it hard to choose. Ceviche includes citrus marinated shrimp and tuna dressed in spicy plum sauce. The sausage sampler plates offer a heartier selection of pre meal eats, while the cheese plate pairs beautifully with a great bottle of wine. Sandwiches and wraps feature all kinds of goodies, from fire roasted veggies to spicy chicken salad, while flat bread pizzas feature an array of gourmet goodies atop crispy flat bread. Entrees include tilapia stuffed with spinach and roasted red pepper, while the beef tenderloin is topped with a mushroom demi-glace.
