For a fresh, healthy breakfast or lunch, Bulldog Bistro has quickly become a Manassas go-to even though it just debuted last summer. The bistro sits less than a mile from The Courts at Historic Manassas, inviting passersby to come in and enjoy a meal of gourmet American fare.

At breakfast, you can snag an omelet for less than $4. Try the Southwest with diced tomatoes, bell pepper, red onion, and fiery banana peppers, plus chunks of sausage and gooey pepper jack cheese. Or opt for the lighter veggie omelet, which is stuffed with zucchini, yellow squash, tomatoes, and cheese. You can also grab a breakfast sandwich or burrito at Bulldog Bistro. Come for lunch, and you can enjoy something a bit more decadent such as the blackened salmon sandwich on a baguette, jumbo lump crab cakes on a toasted croissant, or a panini stuffed with smoked turkey, bacon, and pepper jack cheese.

The folks behind Heritage Brewing are both veterans and patriots, so they have a special place in their hearts for the people of this country. That's precisely why they craft such high quality beers at Heritage Brewery, using only organic and sustainable ingredients. They also care about keeping the United States' land healthy for years to come, which is why they enlist eco-friendly products and processes whenever possible.

But even if you didn't know about all the behind-the-scenes stuff going on at Heritage Brewing, since it's so close to The Courts at Historic Manassas (about 1.5 miles away, to be precise), you would still probably want to stop by for a pint. The Kings Mountain Scotch Ale is one of the most popular pours, which makes sense since it was one of the first beers produced by Heritage. If you're a beer lover, you're lucky to live at The Courts at Historic Manassas. Both branches of BadWolf Brewing Company are within a stone's throw of your apartment. The Little BadWolf taproom brews a barrel at a time, so you can always sip on something fresh from the tap (and munch on complimentary popcorn), whereas the larger 10-barrel Big BadWolf brewery and taproom boasts more brews, but you'll have to BYO snacks.

Regardless of which location you visit, there's always something fun happening on Wednesday and Thursday nights. Wednesday Flight Nights promise six-ounce pours of six different beers for one flat, affordable price. Just make sure you swing by between 4 and 9 p.m. to snag a flight. On Thursdays, you can play some Craft Beer Bingo and compete for prizes while you get educated on local suds.
