Sweet kolaches include peach, strawberry, blueberry, apple, chocolate cream, lemon and apricot.   • Follow guidelines on how to layer your pillows depending on the size of your bed. For example, a king bed should have three Euro pillows, then two king pillows, then two standard pillows, and a few accent pillows on top of that.
  • Use a simple, neutral color for your comforter or duvet cover and add a splash of color with your pillowcases or accent pillows.
  • Place a throw or blanket at the bottom of your bed. Make sure the texture or color matches the same as your pillows at the head of your bed.

Bonefish Grill: A Webster Destination for Seafood

One of the more delightful places in the Webster area to get a meal, Bonefish Grill is a small chain that has built a reputation for generous portions of well-flavored seafood. Start your meal with one of their flash-fried Chincoteague oysters served with spicy remoulade. Don’t miss the legendary “bang bang” shrimp, crispy delicious jumbo shrimp in a spicy sauce.

For entrees, regulars rave about the wide range of grilled fish choices – everything from mahi mahi to Norwegian salmon is on the menu with a selection of sauces and spices. Go for the traditional lemon butter or a South American chimichurri sauce. If you don’t feel like fish, their filet mignon is remarkably good. The bar also offers a selection of well-composed seasonal martinis.

Note that the Bonefish Grill's in Webster is very popular, so you might encounter a bit of a wait at peak dining times.

Must-Know Tips When Serving Wine

You may enjoy drinking wine at home, but how much do you really know about serving it to your guests? If you want to learn how to properly serve reds, whites, and even dessert wines at your next dinner party at Plaza at San Jacinto, check out these simple tips.

  • Invest in a good set of wine glasses. They don’t have to be expensive (many closet less than $5 a piece), but having the proper wine glasses is the first step toward serving great tasting wine. Choose tulip-shaped glasses with stems or without, and make sure that they’re made of real glass to avoid that plastic taste.
  • Clean the glasses. Before serving wine, clean your glasses thoroughly by hand using simple dish soap and hot water. Rinse thoroughly before using.
  • Serve at the proper temperature. If you’re serving light white wines or sparkling wines, keep them at a cool 40 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Full-bodied whites, such as chardonnays, and lighter reds should be served at 50 to 60 degrees, while red wines and ports should be served at 60 to 65 degrees.
  • Keep it at the proper temperature. Keep your wine tasting great all night by using an ice bucket for white wines. Red wines can simply sit on the counter to stay at room temperature.

Located in Webster, the Texas Avenue Park creates a safe and beautiful area with activities for residents of all ages. With a track to walk around, a baseball field, a covered basketball field, tennis courts, and a softball field, this public park has something for everyone.

For nature lovers, there’s a wooded area of the park that is perfect for exploring on a warm spring day. Locals rave about the playground and the baseball-themed splash pad. (You might have a rough time dragging your kids away!) Texas Avenue Park also has a covered picnic pavilion that you can reserve for parties and other celebratory events.
