KC’s Alley: Drink Up in Ambler

The atmosphere is friendly and laid-back, with big-screen TVs to watch all of your favorite sports events. A nice selection of craft beers rotates on 14 taps, offering lots of options for just about any taste. Pair your libation with a tasty nosh like Lollipop Ribs with homemade barbeque sauce, or Fried Mozzarella with house made marinara. Heartier options include wraps, sandwiches, entrée salads & burgers. A Barbeque Pork Sandwich, Buffalo Chicken Salad, Black & Bleu Burger, Veggie Burger, and a Grilled Chicken Chipotle Wrap are among the offerings. Bridget’s Steakhouse: Great Steaks in Ambler

Fans of Bridget’s Steakhouse adore the upscale, but relaxed, ambiance, impeccable service and stellar food preparation. The eclectic menu focuses on expertly prepared steaks, plus an array of entrees to please a variety of appetites. Start off your meal with a refreshing libation like the St. Germain Cocktail with elderflower liqueur, sauvignon blanc, club soda and a lemon twist. Get your taste buds primed with a starter like Lobster Risotto, Sauteed Mussels, Crabmeat Cocktail or Flatbread Pizza. Move on to the main event with a 10-Ounce Center Cut Filet with shitake reduction, Braised Short Ribs with tomato beef jus, Atlantic Salmon with sweet chili glaze or Long Island Duck Breast with blueberry compote. Open for lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday, dinner only on Sunday.

An Ambler favorite, Dettera delivers an eclectic, seasonal menu by relying on fresh produce from sustainable area growers — and its own backyard organic garden!
