Railway Festival June 7th!
Hi Residents!
Did any of you have a chance to stop by the Railway Festival on June 7th?! We were there and had a great time giving away freshly made bagels from a local bakery, ear buds, candy, and doggie treats! It was so much fun to get to talk to some of our residents who stopped by, and meet some new local folks! There were also SO many vendors there! If you stopped by, can you tell us a little bit about what you loved?
Make sure to stop by our table during the next Historic Manassas event! We love to see you!
Splash Down Waterpark: Opening for the Season on May 25th
Reopening for the season on May 25th, Manassas's Splash Down Waterpark is a popular nearby amusement park with acres and acres of fun. This place boasts a huge variety of exciting water activities. Two immense four-story waterslides send thrillseekers down twisting flumes to splash safely in the pool below, and supplemental Tropical Twister and fast-paced Cannonball slides also draw raves. Serious swimmers can work out in the impressive 25 meter lap pool. If you’re looking for something a little more casual, take a float down the 770-foot lazy river, or just relax on Big Kahuna Beach. You can also reserve the pavilions for private parties and events. There are plenty of lifeguards on duty to ensure that everybody stays safe, and the facilities are kept clean and well-maintained. On hot days, the place can get very crowded with fun-seekers looking to cool off. Note there’s no outside food or drink allowed, but there are many options inside the park for snacks.

Paradise Springs Winery: The Gateway To Virginia Wine Country
One of the most interesting developments in viticulture has been the growth of unique, small wineries drawing from the terroir of new locations across America. Virginia is beginning to develop a wine culture around the Manassas area, and one of the best places to get introduced to it is the Paradise Springs Winery.
Located on the border of the beautiful Hemlock National Park, the property is gorgeous. The first grape fields were planted in 2008, and the winery has grown by leaps and bounds since then. Visitors rave about the uniformly high quality of the wine, with the Cabernet drawing special attention. If you’re not a wine expert, the “wine guides” here are exceptionally friendly and well-educated, and they’ll walk you through your tasting and help you pair with the diverse assortment of food here. The winery also hosts musical performances on their spacious patio.
Visit the Paradise Springs Winery website to learn more about this Virginia winery!
