Alfredo’s Restaurant: A Norristown Favorite

Alfredo's Restaurant has been a Norristown institution for years, with generations of locals coming through the doors to enjoy top-notch breakfasts, lunches and dinners.

Many regulars rave that it’s the best breakfast in town for one reason: the breakfast pizza. This savory slice is a real winner. The burgers here are exceptional, with hand-formed patties and delicious toppings. Alfredo’s also offers up a great version of the “zep." If you’ve never had one, it’s a serious thing: a hoagie roll with salami, Provolone, raw onion and tomato, seasoned with oregano, olive oil, salt and pepper. They do it right. Sure, it’s not the healthiest food that you’ll ever eat in your life, but it's said to be very tasty!

Corropolese Bakery & Deli: Taste a Local Institution

If you have been to a party, reunion, reception or event in Norristown or parts surrounding, you have probably eaten a slice of Corropolese’s pizza. If you haven’t, either you showed up late to the party or the hosts weren’t locals! The signature square-cut pizzas at this local institution are the tomato pie, spinach pie, and bruschetta pizza. Pick up a quarter sheet (eight slices) on your way home from work, or a full sheet (30 slices) for the next group event or gathering you’re planning.

Aside from pizza, Corropolese bakes a variety of breads, rolls, and pastries for both wholesale and retail customers and also offers a full-service deli and hoagie counter. Regulars especially recommend the meatball and Italian hoagies and the house-made coleslaw. Bluefin: BYOB to This Cozy Japanese Fare Eatery in East Norriton

Since opening its doors back in 2000, Bluefin in East Norriton has followed the Kim family’s guiding principles: serve fresh, authentic Japanese seafood in an environment that is both elegant and welcoming. Don’t let the strip mall exterior fool you: Regular diners say that when you walk into this cozy BYOB, you'll be taken aback by its sophisticated decor and intimate scale.

The dining room seats about 30, with a romantic atmosphere and attentive service. Ray’s: Tasty Fare in Norristown

But in 1924, Corropolese Bakery was a small family-run shop, making hearty and authentic Italian breads, rolls, and pastries for local workers.
