We manage a diverse portfolio of communities and commercial properties across the Bay Area. No two days are the same for us; every client, family, student, and business has their own needs. There's one constant, though: our leasing offices. No matter where we set up, the leasing office is always a comfortable and professional business environment. 

That means having more than just a desk, chairs and calendar. There are probably some flowers and bottles of water on the table. Our brochures are bright and accessible. Our property manager wears a company shirt. Guests can't confuse it with a storage room, a break room, or anything else. Business is done here, and our leasing offices are ready for every guest.

Many owners are skeptical of move-in gift baskets. They seem to be an avoidable luxury, a perk that has nothing to do with filling vacancies. 

That's true, of course. The lease has already been signed. But while gift baskets don't draw renters to apartments, we think they help people put down roots.

For residents, even the best move-in day is long, tiring, and full of little frustrations. That's why, with our owner's approval, we like to offer them a basket of essentials. Things like water, garbage bags, shelf paper; nothing fancy, just a few things to take the edge off, to help them start unpacking, save a trip to the store.

It's the mark of management who cares. It doesn't cost much, and when renewal time comes gestures like that aren't forgotten.
