Three B’s Grill: A Classic Restaurant and Sports Bar

Three B's Grill is a restaurant and sports bar in the Kingwood area, and it's a popular place to watch the big game while enjoying a casual meal and having a drink. The bar offers a large and diverse collection of beers on draft, with an emphasis on local and regional craft brews.

Pair an order of cheesy pulled pork nachos, a plate of mouth-puckering fried dill pickles, or an order of spicy hot buffalo wings with your beer, and you're ready to settle in for a win! Of course, snack foods are a classic choice for a sports bar, but you'll also find full meals on the menu, including a selection of hearty burgers as well as soups and salads. Yelp reviewers note that although Three B's Grill is a sports bar, it also has a family atmosphere, so it's a great place to take the kids.

Akashi Sushi: Fusion Fare in Kingwood

Since opening in 2011, Akashi Sushi has been serving sushi and more to Kingwood area residents. Sushi lovers will appreciate the restaurant’s lengthy sushi menu. You'll find all the standard sushi rolls, of course, but you'll also find signature rolls like Japanese Lasagna, which mixes crab meat with avocado, then tops it with a baked layer of cream cheese and house-made mayo. Or try the crispy Las Vegas roll with chopped salmon and tuna, bell pepper, green onion, jalapeno, honey wasabi, strawberry, and eel sauce.

If that's enough to get your creative juices flowing, try designing your own custom sushi roll. Once you've decided what flavors you want to combine, just send your request to the kitchen where it will be made and promptly sent out to your table. Akashi also includes many other menu items for diners who prefer cooked food, too. Sweet sesame chicken is always a favorite, as is the spicy salt and pepper shrimp, stir fried with garlic, ginger, and plenty of fresh black pepper.

Akashi Sushi: Where Kingwood Meets SoHo

At Akashi, the environment is as much of a draw as the sushi. Despite sitting smack dab in the middle of Kingwood, Akashi looks more like the upscale sushi joint you'd find in SoHo, thanks to a chic black bar under-lit with blue lights. Customers say that they come for the atmosphere, as well as the food.

Perhaps that's because you can build-your-own sushi roll, filled with high quality, fresh ingredients. Or maybe the eatery's popularity is due to the Volcano Roll or Mongolian beef entree, both must-eats according to customer reviews. Either way, it'd be hard to scan its entire Japanese and Chinese menus without finding a sushi roll or kitchen dish to suit your taste.

RC’s Pizza: Everything’s Made In-House

Even before he graduated from high school, RC Gallegos was interested in helping others to discover the joys of great pizza. After partaking in too many subpar pies, he and a friend started making their own specialty pies at home. Today, he continues the endeavor he began back then at his very own Kingwood pizzeria, RC's Pizza.

In RC's kitchen, there are no frozen crusts or toppings. His chefs make everything from dough to bread fresh and in-house—that includes their pizza sauce and dressings. So the thin-crust, New-York-style pies are anything but cookie-cutter. Try the signature Kennedy pie, a white pizza with chicken, baby spinach, garlic, and fresh tomatoes, or one of the traditional pasta dishes or subs.
